About sources of magnetism
Check that the sensor operates correctly before using it if there are magnetism sources (motor, solenoid, etc.) in the surroundings of the electromagnetic sensor.
About the influence of surrounding metal
If there are magnetic objects with residual magnetism in the surroundings of the sensor, the detection characteristics will vary. Pay attention to the installation location and orientation of the sensor.
Mounting
- When connecting the sensor, turn OFF the power so that no motive power is applied to the gear or the rack.
- Do not rotate the gear or move the rack while the end of the sensor is in contact with the gear or the rack.
- Keep the detection surface of the sensor clean and free from iron particle adhesion.
Usage Environment
For both use and storage of the product, avoid any place which is exposed to water, oil, chemicals or corrosive gases,abrupt temperature changes, or direct sunlight. Dew condensation or icing could affect the proper characteristics of the product.
