Precautions During Use
- The pyroelectric infrared sensor detects changes in the heat (infrared) emitted by the human body.
A person in a static condition cannot be detected. - May detect changes in heat sources other than the human body (such as from small animals).
- May react in locations where there is rapid air movement, such as in air conditioners, or to the swaying of a curtain or blind.
- Detection is not possible through obstructions such as glass or acrylic plastic.
- This sensor cannot be used outdoors.
Even in indoors, the sensor cannot be used in places where sunlight enters or where temperature changes rapidly. - After the detection area is vacated, when the timer time elapses and the output turns OFF.
The output is turned on, when human presence is detected again.
Sensor turns OFF after the timer time has elapsed from the last detection time. - May not work properly if there is dirt, dust, scratches, or other foreign substances are on the lens.
